Location: Delray, MI
Customer Challenge: The Blackout of August 14, 2003 caused a fire destorying a boiler at a local steel mill. Monarch was requested to assess the damage, develop the repair scope, create the necessary budget and finalize the schedule to manage the project. On top of that, due to the age of the boiler, very few drawings were available.
Solution: Monarch responded by documenting and measuring the boiler, developing arrangement and detail drawings for fabrication and installation of all formed tubing, panels, headers, duct work, casing, piping, fans and misc. equipment. The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule. The contract value was $5.5 million.
