Aqueous Ammonia System Installation
Location: Essexville, MI
Customer Challenge: Utility customer required a turn key bid and spec. project for installation of an Aqueous Ammonia System to improve emissions of their Boilers by capturing mercury. The scope of the work included building a tank farm and setting (4) large tanks and all associated piping, furnished and installed all mechanical systems and run all piping necessary to tie Aqueous Ammonia process into existing Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system.
Solution: Based on the complexity of system, different trades and subcontractors, not to mention close interface with plant production personnel, it was important that Monarch develop a clear and detailed work plan ("Plan the work and work the plan"!). As part of that process Monarch developed and maintained a detailed daily schedule, managed all submittals and carefully planned all material deliveries. Manpower reached 50 tradesmen on the project. Contract value was $2 milion.
